Fibres are still often removed from natural food by manufacturers, although they are essential for a healthy diet. Many doctors recommend to increase the share of fibres in your daily diet as it helps to avoid certain diseases.
This vintage cookbook will teach you many great (and low in cost) recipes of high fibre dishes. You have a great choice of recipes for breakfast and brunch dishes, vegetarian dishes, lunches and suppers, cakes and biscuits, savoury breads, pastries and pies, salads.
The book is completed by an excellent index.
What is also interesting in this book is that it provides, for each recipe, the measurements in metric units, imperial units and also an adaptation of the ingredients or measurements for the USA.
It looks a bit old : the back cover is damaged on the bottom left corner and lightly scratched near the top. Some of the pages (not all of them of course) are stained. The front and back covers show traces of age that make the black colour look a bit dirty : traces of fingers and manipulation, very light scratches. None of the pages are torn or dog-eared, and there are no scribbles in the book.
