I love these old metal medicine boxes with scary names on them, that cure incredible diseases ! ;-)
Here we have an old French box of Colloïdo Bismuth from Richard Laboratories, which probably used to contain granules rather than pills, and were very useful for all sorts of intestine problems.
The date is not written on the box but it can be dated : there is no postcode on the box after the name of the town, and postcodes were invented in France in 1964. Also, the Richard Laboratories were founded in 1958, so this box was made between 1958 and 1964, probably end of 1950s. The top of the lid need a little clean, which I will not do, but the box is in good condition for its age, with a few scratches here and there on the red paint.
I don't know if I have a very sensitive nose but I think the inside of the box still smells the medicine ! :-)
Weight (without protection and packaging) : 65 g
