IMPORTANT:
Please read this
special announcement before making a purchase.

Here is an excellent book presenting new (new in 1971) developments in science, medicine and technology. This book is great if you are interested in the history of science and technology.

Some of the new inventions of those days look really funny today, like those incredible diving suits presented on page 61! Please see last picture.

11 chapters full of excellent quality text. Please note that the font is small, so if you do not have very good eyes, you may need a magnifying glass to read this book.

Most of the pictures are in black and white, a few are in colour.

The book itself is in very good condition, with some stains of humidity on the front cover and the first page. Discreet stains also on some pages.
The hard cover also has a few signs of age (it is a bit worn) on its base.
The paper jacket shows signs of age outside, and looks really old inside. Please see 6th picture.
